Firebug, Does the sprockets need any protection from possible damage that can happen from the bottom side ? I was just wondering ? Don't want to see any trial runs having any problems. Keep up the great work.

Anybody know what my frame is? I don't know one from another. I think the chains are tough enough to eat a few rocks but if necessary I could fab some sort of chain guard.

Note the chain protector @ the bottom of the trailing arms on the quad, real simple way to protect the chain.

That's nice. What is the top of the chain going to run on when there's some slack? nylon or teflon runners. Hope you get to feeling better

I have some HDPE,,,like kitchen cutting board for a top chain glider. I can also use teflon if this stuff wears too quick.. Its more expensive and the HDPE is cheap.

Looks great Firebug! Very neat and compact! Thats a CD setup even a donut-gitter rider likes the looks of! Its not a huge monster and the buggy still has the same "look".

If your HDPE wears out, I hear that UHMW stuff is VERY durable.

May be cheaper than teflon?? Worth a phone call.

Hey fire bug what about putting a peice of tubing from the top t/a brace over close to the caliper to run your brake line in just in case a babychain went wild, just a random idea

Firebug, you have any more pictures of the build up? Can't wait to see that thing in person and watch you drive the wheels off it.

Well today I drove the buggy. It seems fine. I did find a miss in the engine and a bad oil leak. If it aint one thing it's 2. But the chains work fine so far. I will get some pics later,,My phone camera is kinda lame. I think I will put a timing belt on and fix the oil leak before I really test it on ride.

I would say thats a wise choice Marty. Glad that you were at least able to drive it and make sure that was working at this point.
Good luck with it.
