I love my suspension seat. I havn't had a kirky, but have heard good and bad... Ask Larry he has had both in his buggy.
Suspension: comfy, but takes up room and holds water.

Kirky: not as comfy, but less room and cover easily comes off.

Carbon/Kevlar Corbeau Evolution race seats :D

2 days of constant rallying in the Fouquet and not even an ache, great seats.

Kirkey. The best seat going. I love mine, and I know 20 other people that have bought them after I did and now love theirs.

Which Kirkey seat are you guys using? They have the oval track seat and the drag racing seat.Im only 5' 7" and it looks like the oval seats rib protectors will rub my arm pits all the time, but im not sure because i have never set in one.

I prefer my Kirkey over the Race Trim I used to run hands down. More comfortable, more headroom.

http://summitracing.com/search/?keyword ... reet&dds=1 The 41700 might fit you best , Bucky. I run the 41900, and can hardly squeeze my fat self into Kokos 41700.

Other than my dragster which had a small aluminium seat I have only sat in Kirky seats that were in circle track cars. I like how they hold you in place but they would not be comfortable like my Beards for how I off road. I can see them as the seat for hill climbing.

So i guess when measuring for a seat you need to consider the seat cover padding?

No seats are better than poly seats.... :D :D Hell a milk crate would be better if you didn’t get waffle butt. :D :D I don’t like a bruised back.. Love my suspension seats but never used a kirkey set yet.

do the racetrim type suspension seats have more or less headroom than a poly seat?

Post subject:  Re: Suspension seat or Kirkey seat???

Way less. I'd say a good 4" difference, if not more. I gained about 6" headroom with my Kirkey vs racetrim.

  Thats No BS! I'm borrowing Yankee's ol 2 seater for this weekend so I can bring the wife riding, and NOT looking forward to the poly seats. Might even switch seats out for this ride now that you mention it. I had kinda forgot how bad them polys are on the back.

Less, the poly seats are thinner and can be mounted flat on the floor for more head room. The suspension seats are thick so the seat can have suspension in them, plus they have about a 1” mounting tab sticking off the bottom.

Race Trim seats are entry level Chinese knock offs of the real thing. Most of the better seat builders will custom build a seat wider, taller, deeper to fit you. Tilting a suspension seat rearward can get you the head room you need. Only seat worse than a poly is a fiberglass seat.
