This is fairly typical. Most bushings need to be reamed to fit. You will find that the Poly urathane bushings are really to soft to ream with a blde style however they can be flap wheel sanded. It takes a while to do them with the flap wheel.

i took a long bar clamp and a small board to push both in easily...i think this is what you were talking about...grease em up and go at it...also heat helps too...i was to scared to try to reem them or work on them to file down....

I ran into the same thing . Once I finally got it together it was extremely stiff . I left it like that and it is alot better after 5 or 6 trips . It is still on the stiff side but gets better every ride. I will reem the next ones some how .

Get a 1/2" wood dowel about 10" long & cut a 3" slot down the middle of one end & slide a 3"x6" piece of emery cloth in the slot & chuck it up in your drill.

Yes the ID. Personally I would use the Delrin bushings with the seperate thrust washer. They are harder, last longer and can be reamed to fit with a cheapo Enco adjustable reamer.

You probably have the wrong size. There are three sizes that I know of and the steel tubing version would do exactly that on a stock front end.

i had my driver side upper bearing break and replaced only that one with the red one and now that side is stiff as hell with almost no give and the pasenger sidebounces on down the trail, i can stand on my beam on the driver side and jump on it and it does not move!

I have tried the white ones and blue ones. The white ones crack easy and I think every time I get them, they are different sizes! The blue ones are cheaper and I think work better. I got them from McKenzies. The last set of white ones I used, I turned the outside down on the lathe, and also opened the inside up.

I run the white ones... I welded a 3/4 bolt/washer to the end of a 1-1/2" tubing and wrapped it with sand paper. I used an impact driver and reemed each bushing in about 20 seconds!

The Empi bushings are JUNK, I seen somebody ran a set and it got wore out fairly quick because they are too soft, I am running a set of Saco white bushings with the thrust washers made on the end, it made a huge difference on how the front end operates now.

I took a bar of UHMW and made my own. It worked out great, and they were FREEEE.

Thats the best solution I've heard yet. Ingenious.

Gotta watch which beam you get, too. The oem ones that have the roller bearings in them take only a thrust washer/seal at the end of the beam.
