My brother is thinking about getting these seats for his Hayabusa sand rail. He asked me what I thought but I figured I would ask here. Is anyone running them and have feedback. I know you usually get what you pay for but I never thought EMPI Race Trim seats would be good. The total for two seats with shipping is $262.00 http://www.jcwhitney.com/jcwhitney/product.jcw?nval=0&statenval=0&productId=2015962&shopid=100001&pageid=13&skuId=402344&id=3338142 ![]()

I got the Race trim vinyl on vinly seats, they are real comfortable but the mounting brackeks were all over the place crocked, not what I expected from the specs. I would like things to be a standard ( and square)dimensions. So if you ever change your mind for an other brand, ( or even just an other seat) it could just bolt in to place. Things just should n't be a one off custom fit every time for everything. But some people like EMPI, some don't. Personaly I have found that every EMPI product I've purchased so far, needs to be reworked. Even things as simple as trans mounts. To hell if I'll order some thing like a carb from them. There's just no quality control. Just took another look at your seat picture, don't think race trims have loops for the harnesses to come around the head rest like that. Mine don't. Wish they did. Those also show a double slot below the head rest. Looked at web page over again, don't see a brand name at all, but price seems good to me. Just re-read first post, if Garage pro is the name, it's one I've never heard of and could n't coment on exept that they look good. Dave W. |
