I bought Deans 2x3 rear t. arms last year and am finally getting around to putting them together, my question is what size are the bolts for the bearing cap and carrier on the new arms? I tried my old bolts which are in good condition but they only go in slightly. I have a metric tap set and thread guage but the 10x1.5 (same size as bolt) does not go in. I have tried up and down in size but no go. Are they standard? Thanks for your replies, Bajabugnut |

Don't make the same mistake I did,,do not use Stainless Steel. SS has it's place but not where high torque is necessary. Use at least grade 8. TSC may be grade 5,,not sure. |

Firebug wrote: Use at least grade 8. TSC may be grade 5,,not sure. They have grade 8. Its the gold bolts and the grade 5 are olive in color at TSC. Grade 8 have 6 hash marks on the head and grade 5 have 3 hash marks. |

Stianless are nice. If you heat them, consider them welded. Stainless steel distorts about 10 X what mild steel does when heated, so close toleance fitting is required for welding, etc. to reduce distortion. |
