Post subject:  Adjustable air shocks

Hi Guys
I am going to end up with a heavy 4 seater buggy with a 2.0 bus motor,6rib trans, bus axels, 2x3 trailing arms, car torsen houseing and bars.
This buggy also has a roof rack and pickup style bed over the engin.
Trying to decide on shocks. Thinking about adjustable air shocks for the ease of adjustment as at times I will be carring 3-4 people and camping gear.
Is there anything else out there that is easly adjustable??
Has anybody used regular air shocks????
What about coilovers??
Thanks

Airbags are probably the cheapest route but nitrogen shocks like Fox or Swayaway will work as well as coil overs. Coil overs will cost the most. Nitrogen shocks aren't exactly easy to adjust except for the pressure itself and oil level, all other adjustments are a little more tricky like valving. Personal decision really, depends on budget and access to make adjustments. If you plan on nitrogen shocks you will need the tank and the ability to guage pressure unless you want to take them somewhere for every little adjustment. Coil overs can get expensive if you don't get the right springs the first time. Airbags seem to be the bang for the buck decision.

To do all of that i wood go coil overs . 2 stage light & a heavy spring . I got swayaways at Drews & he worked with me on springs.

Don't know if it would be the right way to deal with your situation, but... Coil overs can be adjusted for ride height with the threaded spring adjuster. This would make the suspension stiffer but I think thats what you would want with more weight. Down fall would be having to reset them with every wieght change.
