I am ready to start building the trans mounts for my wifes buggy and I am running 2x3 arms and have a couple of questions to ask
How far do most of you move the engine and trans back ( 3 rib )to take some of the Angle out of the axles ? I am thinking 1 3/4 ' to 2" if the exhaust will still clear the frame at the rear .
How much is yalls trans tilted ?

Why would you do that? The pupose of 2x3 is to put weght on the front, it defeats the puose to move the motor back.

I under stand that but it seems like the angle on the axles is a little too much . I left the mounts in the stock location on my buggy and it seems they are angled back alot and I know some guys move theirs back some and I was curious how much .

Alot of Bee Line frames use to come with a spacer right on the end of the horns when he knew you were running 2 x 3, i think it was about 1.5 inches. 2x3's aint all about moving weight to the front, everybody aint running a suuubaaaruuu  Drilled valves aren't the only secret them boys in ky got... I'm not sure about how much tilt.

I think the object of extended arms is more travel :D

Back in the day when I ran 3x3 I did not have enough weight over the tires ...so the cars running bus axle's hooked better
