I am wanting to start my build, but can't decide what to do. I can decide if I want a kingpin front end or to go with a arms. I would really like to do an a arm but don't want to spend a fortune on shocks. I would really like to do an air bag a arm front, but I think that I would have to do some sort of cantalever to work the airbags. But this is just more moving parts to build and work on in the woods. I guess I am leaning towards a kingpin with raised spindles. What are your guys thoughts on it? |

Not to mention the parts availability, and your going to need parts. |

What kind of buggy? What kind of riding? KP with 1x2 arms works awful well for the money on a avg sized buggy for hillclimbing n basic trailriding. (Conventional, 100"- 106" or so, 2000lb or less) Bigger/heavier buggies, or if you like jeep trails (rock gardens), A -arm n airbags might be worth the time n trouble. |

I have a bus front end,,,wider than beetle stock,, and heavy duty,,,read heavy,,,it takes a lot of fabbing to do. I want to go A-arm someday because I like the fabbing challenge. I don't see the air bags being any problem,,the problem I see with A-arm is it is going to take a lot of prep work,,read chopping,,,to just get started. And it will cost about as much as a beetle beam in bushings or heims. But it will be fun. In the mean time I am looking at converting my bus beam to air bags....it's gonna look like a space creature but ,,,,so |

Hill climbing and trail riding, something about 100" and around 1500lbs. And more than likly watercooled. |

What is the strongest front end? I need a setup that can take fast trails, hard hits from hill climbs and hard landings. Witch is the best way to go. |

Nothings for ever .If you want very strong you will lose on the weight side .Probably the best thing is to start off cheap The thing I like the most about my buggy is I can go ride anywhere .I am not limmited to the places |
