ok so i was able to get my whole front end ( HD-offraod rack and pinnion 36, arms, beam, through rod, arms, shocks, combo spindles, IH Tie rods) for 1600...now I have my brakes and wheels in the UPS truck on the way to my casa!...on to the real issue...

what i was thinking....
Tilt steering housing
and Steering Quickner to 2:1
and the right amount to ujoints and steering shafts....

is this a good setup or what should i do...i mean the rack is new... so i figured i would try this before i go with power steering...

i tried the steering quickener with rack and pinion, it sucks. it ripped out of your hand everytime you hit a rock and when you do get stuck and your wheels are against something, you dont have enough power to turn the wheels. i even tried it with power steering, but it tries to turn the steering box faster than the hydrolics can move it, and it binds up.

Does the box come with a short shaft and "U" joint ? If not you will need a "U" joint at its Pivot point.

Instead of a quickner I made a 3" longer Pitman arm on my Powersteering conversion. And yes I moved the box accordingly guys. 8)
