Post subject:  King Pins

Just bought new king pins and bushings. New pins don't slide into new bushings and new bushings appear too big to fit into knuckle. Am i missing something or were the wrong bushings supplied in kit. Pins are same diameter and length as old.

You need to have the bushings pressed in and then reamed to fit the king pin. There is a vw tool to do it but I don't remember the number.
