Use a torsion adjuster, it works very well, you can adjust your ride height by only turning the bolts with a wrench that are pushing a set of keys that your inside end of the bars slide in, best mod to add on your buggy for only around $80. Just cut 4" out of the center of the torsion housing and weld the adjusters in, pretty easy modification.

I have always set my torsion like gasman. Chained my floor jack to the frame and used the floor jack to raise the trailer arm. It is easy to do by yourself and it stays in place while you bang/bolt the torsion in.

There is a lot easier way. We use a large turnbuckle from Tractor Supply. When you take your shock off the top mount just put the turnbuckle over the mount and one bolt through the spring plates then just twist to your desired height :)
