fire bug i was talking to u in the chat room the other day about the front tranny mount u told me to tilt it. my question is how much and which way. this is probably a dumb question but i just dont want to screw it up

replace the stock torsion tranny mount with an aftermarket 1the tranny is a 6 rib with a 1915 eng.

no i was just asking because he tod me to tilt it also wondered if i did how will i get my rear tranny mount to line up

Yea,,I suggested tilting the tranny,,,It will raise the engine a little for more ground clearance and with a bus tranny it will lower the shifter box a little too. If you are redoing the tranny mount anyway it is a good time to make this little modification. I did mine when I went to a 6 rib and kept the tranny forward a little so I could keep the engine from being further back,,,,since mine is WC and a little heavier already.

I had to add some mounting bosses above the old rear mounts,,it is simple to do,,just remember to keep the axle flanges in pretty much the same location,,,kinda see-saw at the point of the flanges :wink:
