Does anybody have any tips on getting a broken swingarm bolt out of the torsion.

Can you get a small chisel to it and tap it counterclockwise? ,,first soak it with PB blaster. good luck |

I've tried that am getting a little worried now. I'm thinking of getting the smallest angle drill I can find and try to use an easy out. But I have not had much luck with those things............dammit |

Their not cheap , but a reverse cut drill bit might be an option,,,then use the ease-out. Also heat it up. |

I had to open up the top of the horn one time to get a broken bolt out, PITA. Is there any of it sticking out from the flange nut? If there is, try welding a nut to the end and turn it out. Good luck. |

Well now Ive got an easy out broke off in the thing. I might open up the horn or I might get some of those clips people use to make irs`s out of swingaxles and see if I can do something with one of them. Thanks for your replys. Sam |

Did you try smacking it with a hammer real good a few times? I know its a tight spot. Trauma to big stuck threds like that can sometimes do the trick. The impacts will sometimes break the bond between the threds and housing nut. This works real well on steel bolts in aluminum threds. *the welding somthing to the end of the bolt and then trying to budge it is a good idea too. |
