PB, I am right there with you with the 31's . 15" with the boggers at 3psi . Measured at a comfortable pressure in the bags. I can run the bags up stiffer and gain a couple inches when necessary. |

i could gain a few by cranking up the torsion adjusters or adding nitrogen to fox airshox but that leaves me with just about no droop in the suspension. not sure how critical that would be in the trails. |

You will have the best ride and control with a minimum of 30% droop. The droop allows the tires to follow the terrain and keep them on the ground for traction. Any less you start to sacrifice the reasons you went to mid or long travel supension to begin with. |

Well put Steve. I would sacrifice ground clearance anyday to have a suspension that works well. I have mine set up with almost 40% in droop. |

This is a good thread. Gives a good idea of initial adjustment for your buggy. |

Thats pretty phenomenal. You chaindrive? No belly bars? I got clearanced 930's, 31's,and 2x3's, and only got 15" if I'm cranked to where I'm sittin on the stops and riding like a road wagon. Engine is kicked up a little, too, to gain clearance. Setup for good ride and transfer and I got about 13" clearance sittin in the garage, spring plates about 1/4" off the stops with 3/4" notches in them. Ride it all day and it squats more than that. Starting to take a set though, gonna have to crank her up soon. Larry |

It's how far into the suspension your car sits. Where my front end sits at ride height, if I were to jack it up, I would have to jack it up 4" before the tires leave the ground. I have about 30-35% droop. |
