 Post subject: rack pinion steering

was wondering what size rack and pinion steering unit everybody was using? any help would be appreciated.

I run the econo rack thats similar (cheeper) to the saco or wright racks. If your asking for size I am assuming your looking at the sand rack. Those won't hold up to woods riding. check it out @ http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=C26%2D425%2D155

don't buy the empi sand style rack, waste of money. It was on my chassis when i bought it so i used it. Ask Roy, Dean or any of those guys, they seen what happened to mine this weekend, snapped a heim joint off right at the rack in the worst place in the woods. Not good.

If you have one of those 1 turn lock to lock sand racks I'm surprised it lasted at all in the woods.
I have one on my sand drag buggy but it is a Stilleto.
Wouldn't even try it in th

i bought a latest rage rack off LA Products... Looks the same as the "econo" rack that everyone is using.. Is it the same thing?

Yes it is the same thing. Import rack. Pretty good for the money.
