I am constructing my own trailing arms, they should be 4 longer and 4 wider. what is the correct way to measure for the length of the axle. i was told to put the arm paralle with the transmission flange and measure the distance in between the two flanges and add one inch. does this sound right? |

measure from the center of the tranny flange to the center of the stub with them level to one another and subtract 1/4 inch. Mock it up first and see if there is an axle on the shelf because special order axles are very costly.  and oh yea,,,make sure the tranny is center first
