I have new 28 MM Sway-A-Way torsions on my buggy. I know that new torsions need to be broke in and typically need indexed untill they do. I have indexed them 3 times allready and they need it again. This seems excessive to me. How many times should they be done before they actually take a set? Thoughts and experiences please.

thoughts? Coil Over! no what lenght are your trailing arms 2x3? I was told my 3x3s would not work well with the bars?

I'm running 28mm Sway a way's for 5/6 years. I only adjusted mine 1 time. If your on almost 4 times I would think its a bit excessive. I started mine on the stiff side which may have helped?? In others words I don't have a clue, 1 time work for me though.

I ran 28 SAW on my 4 seater for years with 3x3 on a heavy 4 seater I never had to adj except the first time I had a adj built in

i hate to state the olvious but they do have a left & a right. i mixed a set up one time and they didn`t last much longer than backing off the trailor.

I'm running SAW 28mm torsion bars and I think I had to re-set mine 3 times before they finally stabilized. I have a torsion adjuster and I'd have to adjust after every ride. I could adjust it twice with the adjuster before having to pull the spring plate to reset the preload, but I still had to reset the spring plates 3 times. No problems now and they are working great, but it was very frustrating having to take everything apart so many times, and I even thought that they may have been cracked or stripping the splines.

That has been my experience so far. I am sure the way i drive has some bearing on it. I am pretty hard on the Buggy.

I have 2x3 arms and on a rough ride, mine would drop 3-4 inches in the rear on a day ride. I don't think there is a problem with them, they just take some time to set.

Now that mine are set, with my custom torsion, I put no preload on mine and turn the adjusters in about 3/4" to get the correct ride height.

Yep 3 to 4" drop per ride is about right.

i went threw the same thing i did mine i think it was 4 times and on the 5th i just made it so tight it wasent going anywhere and it was rough for like 4 rides but its perfect now i had it so that 4 people could barley push the buggy down in the back
