Post subject:  late model wheels...

since we don't have a wheels and tires section (great idea isn't it?? haha) i decided i will post this here. my uncle works for malcuitt racing, motor shop in strasburg ohio, and i was asking himt oday about getting a set of late model wheels. anyways he told me he will ask brad, the owner, about if he has an old style set, supposively they are stronger. he believes that they are 14 inches wide. so what i am getting at is what do you guys recommend (style, width, etc.), i know some of you run these wheels. give me some insight on it and i will let you guys know what i can come up with. thanks!

I run 14" wide Weld beadlocks with a 5" off set . Weld use to make, not sure if they make them anymore, a heavy wall beadlock wheel. Real strong compared to the ultra light wheels they use now. $80.00 for a set of adaptors? That's a good price.

Weld still makes them wheels, they are under different managment, they got bought out by American Racing Wheels company, just a different company now makes them, still the same stuff, it will still be available. I got mine at Poske's in Wheeling, WV. 15x14, 5" backspacing.
