Depends on what you want to replace during rebuild, and how much of the labor you can/want to do yourself.

I like k/p better for the woods personally, especially if you arent trying to spend a bunch on upgrading it. Its preferred by most folks I ride with. But there are some who prefer b/j. Either can be made to work well.

If you go k/p, extended arms are well worth the money ($150 plus cores from X-Treme Rails) (or time if you can build 'em yourself).

If you really enjoy fabricating you might consider a bj from a bus. It is wider and tough as all get out. You can remove a bunch of the torsion leafs for a softer ride. But you gotta really love fabricating. 8) If you go with sedan bj try to find a "Thing" front end. Hard to find but some are out there. King Pin get wobbly in time but will stay together. BJ will stay tighter longer buy have been known to jump out of socket. Mine have not ever jumped out of socket but bus bj are like thing bj and load the buggy on top of the joint . Bus front ends are heavy though. In time the A-arm will be more popular. A-arm may be my next winter project. 8)
