Most people run a 6 inch wider beam. I have never understood the benefit of a 6 inch wider beam. If you are running taller tires, I guess it could help with the tire rubbing on the frame. Maybe you get a little more stability. |

I know +6 is normal but I run 2x3 rear and don't want my front to be to wide and I have 1x4 tweeds |

I asked Nick Mailloux the same question. The answer was it gives better/more travel. Something about the geometry of the width. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |

I know a longer vehicle rides smoother than a short one. So maybe a wider one does also.???? Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |

I run a 6" wider beam mainly to clear 31" front tires (no rub when turning) also helps with stability in off camber situations but it sucks in tight woods |
