 Post subject: Tube thickness

What size tube do you guys use? Im going to buy my tube next week for my roof bars and front shock towers, im going to use 1" for the towers I just dont know how thick the tube needs to be, and for the roof bars would 1 3/4 be good?

1.500 round and .090 thick is stander .I used 1.625 x .120 tubing and wish I didn't . now my buggy is too heavy

I'd agree on 1.5 but after my experience roof bars are gonna be .120, I would not build a whole buggy out of it but for sure the roof

Ok, with my buggy being so light the thicker tubing here and there wouldn't hurt.

Main hoop and a-pillar hoops in ours are 2.25mm, so about 0.009", but that's in similar spec to your chromoly tube, and 1.75" diameter.

Yes, 0.09" that should have been.

Don't ask me why the stockholders over here do tube with imperial OD and metric wall thickness, I don't know either...
