This is the first year I ran them, and so far they have been holding up great cause I have beat the heck out of mine and the bearing is still just like the first day!

Try Nick, aka buggybarn, he makes them or call Precision Alloy (formally Avery's) and they can build them for you. Those are the only two I would trust.

Where did you pick up your hubs and stubs?

Precision Alloy/ Avery's is not cheap but WORTH IT... I bent Chinese boxed arms... then I bent USA chro-mo boxed arms... then I bought Avery's arms. I asked "What if I bend these?.?.?." He replied you will bend your torsion tube before you bend these arms... Guess what the next thing I bent was?.?.?. Microstubs are awesome if you have the coin. 2+ inches of extra axle adds up on the travel side of the game.

Check my build thread (chimpo experiment # 2, arm upgrade is near the end) and you can see what 3x3's and VW bearings to 5x5's and Microstubs did for the stance of my buggy.

I had 8x8's years ago. Thought I was somebody. I always had 1 tire grippin and the other slippin. The tire with the grip would actually turn the buggy and I was constantly wasting power with the cut brake trying to correct my path. And there was NO maneuvering on the path. I had to hit a ledge or hole and a skinny buggy could just go around it! And it seems there was always a tire out of the path up in the weeds hitting tree saplings constantly. Today that buggy is a baby chain buggy 2x8 with 22" of ground height and can bounce up 4 or 5" more. It don't beat the cliff climbers or real chain drives, but it loves washed out ruts. The smoother the ride the more speed can be applied. (Remember, tires have to be on the ground to grip).
