Like the title says, which gives a smoother ride? Pro's and con's?
It's time to upgrade.

I really like my air bags, having a easily adjustable suspension that rides well is hard to say no too. I would have a very hard time going back to torsion bars. You need to run good shocks with air bags though, I am using Fox remote resi shocks and could not be happier.
Good Luck

bigD I debated that decision for a long time and have talked to a bunch of people that have nothing but very good comments about air bags. I think being able to adjust your suspension that easy is worth a lot in itself.
I have ordered the bags and have talked with mad mike on here to get some of his torsion eliminators. so i have made my decision to switch. based on all the feedback I got I will be very happy with it...I can't wait to find out

I have them on two buggys and wont go back to torsion. You don't have to worry about saggy suspension on one or both sides, adjustable, lightweight, they seem to be very durable. If you run a onboard compressor you can adjust while riding. With a 2 seater I will let air out when passenger gets out then air back up when they get back in. If you put your buggy on 4 scales you can see the advantage and adjust it till it has the same weight on both back tires. The ac buggy works fine with rancho 9000 shocks but the ecotec required a lot better shock to control the rebound.

been running my bags for a few years now...love them and would never change...A/c motor with cheap rancho shocks and rides sweet....I do 2 settings on them, 60 lbs for rough or rocky trail riding...55 lbs for climbin and real rough stuff. and if I get a buddy who is 300 lbs in passenger seat, 55 on my side, 60 on passenger

I was afraid that airbags was the ticket......lol. Price wise, due to modifications. Lets see...New arms..3x2?, New axles, torsion eliminators, good shocks, brake brackets and extend the frame for shocks...hmm not to bad...lol. But I guess it cheaper than the doctors because of my back issues. Thanks for the input guys. I guess I will contacting Mad Mike next month.

You don't have to run torsion eliminators. Just pulled my torsions out and ran the stock bushings and spring plates. Think I ran it for 4 years like that. Worked fine for me.

There was a guy from Washington state who messed with airbags on the front. Not sure how things worked out, he got out of buggys while he was doing the modification. I toyed with the idea but never pursued it.

Its on m my list but it looks tough with trailing arms, it looks much easier with a arms, but that is a huge change on my buggy.

The bags would actually be lying sorta flat in front of the beam, kinda hard to explain, but it seems do-able.

There are torsion springs in between the trailing arm and the leaver that is connected to the air bag. All the air bag does here is make it something like a bouncer. You can drop this on the ground or raise it up with the air bag.

Yeah I'd like to set it up for air bags on the front just can't seem to find a way to make it look and function good
