Hello Fellas, I have been talking with RCVPerformance about a new product they are developing. They are still going through the design but it looks to be very promising. I have already discussed this with many of your but I wanted to get some more feedback. RCVPerformance already has 40 deg CV Joints but they are stationary and do not have any plunge. They are currently in the process of building a new plunging axle to use with the stationary CV joints. I know the High Angle drive shafts have had lots of issues with the driveshaft locking up under torque and ripping the trans apart. RCVPerformance is developing a new AXLE that will use bearing to allow the axle to plunge. Speaking with them yesterday, they hope to have a prototype ready in a month or two. They still do not know the price but it will not be cheap. What are your thoughts? |

You and I have talked about this a couple of times Dan and I'm interested in seeing what they come up with. It would be nice if they would chime in on this, maybe get some of us to do some R&D for them. I know if anyone can test out new products, it would be this group here at Woodsbuggy. I know that price is going to have a major influence on this but if I know I'm buying the best I can get, I'll cry once. |

With ball-bearing sliding axles taking the shock away when the suspension takes hits, wouldn't U-joints become a viable option as well? |
