I just bought a buggy 1915 motor 6 rib tranny but it has rear drums I am eventually going to get rear disk but the question I have it has factory looking trailing arms that are tubular plus the torsion tube is pretty big compared to other buggy and the stubs are real long I'm trying to figure out if the hole ass end is vanagon or what

Yes that is the bus housing and arms. You can still get disc for them or make a set. Chad

So id have to look for disk for a 80s vanagon ? Is there a way to tell the difference in rear hubs from old bus to newer vanagon. Plus this buggy has small five lug

It's the newer bus with the small five lug pattern.should be a two price hub.you can buy a kit or make your own using your hub and drilling a rotor to fit. I've seen all kinds of different kinds used. I'm thinking that there's a dodge rotor that has the same lug pattern that will slide right over your hub.then just make a caliper bracket and you've got disc brakes. Might have to rework your shock mounts though but it be worth it to have disc brakes. Chad
