I currently have a rail that I traded a baja for. Thought it would be cool to have the open air feeling. The problem I have run into is the size of this rail. I am 6'5" and I can not fit in the thing. I have cut the bottom of the seat area out and lowered it down so that I can clear the head bars but just barely. If I go any lower I think I'll hit everything I drive over. There is also the lower windshield bar causing problems, my knees are slammed up against it.

With all this being said I am in the market for a new frame. Since the frame I have is pretty much complete and I can't drive it without looking like and feeling like I'm driving a kids go kart I figure I get a bigger frame and just switch everything over. So can anyone give me suggestions on what frame a tall guy can fit into? I have looked at the Beeline Explorer and I like its looks a lot but I can't find its dimensions. I have also looked at the Barrien Stalker and it doesn't seem to be much bigger than what I have now if I measured right.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

If i remember correctly Larrys offroad in Ohio sells frames that can be ordered taller and wider.

im 6'4" and had a stalker and loved the room it had.. 18" kirky pro drag seats with no dropped floor pan and still had 6" or more head room also had plenty of room in the buggy so i wasnt elbowing the passenger to shift gears or pulling cut brakes.. it was the most comfortable buggy ive had or been in

Thanks for the input. The Stalker sounds like the one for me especially if I can customize the dimensions. In the mean time after having a buddy look at the frame we've come up with the idea of lengthening all of the vertical supports to raise the roof so to speak. Basically cut them out and replace with say 2" longer tube. Only the roll tube is continuous and my thought there is to weld in a slug at the joint that would be created by lengthening it. Not sure if that makes since but i think that I have figured out that 1 5/16" tube will fit inside the 1.5" 0.95" tube on the buggy now. Is there any reason this isn't a wise idea? Anything I should watch for?

As far as the beam goes with the change I figured I would weld in some braces off the beam to keep it oriented as it sits now with the caster. Then use the beam clamps when I put it back together to orientate everything. Currently its a ball joint but I have a link pin beam too. I was kind of thinking about switching to the link pin to give me more suspension options in the future if I decide to stay with frame. Am I thinking too far outside the box or in a direction that would be unsafe?

You could make it like this. This is my buddy's buggy that I'm doing for him he's 6'3 and fits perfect The roll bar wasn't touched the two overhead bars were bent up. just raise the front roll bar
