I posted this on the Samba originally but thought maybe you guys might want to take a stab at it.
OK I'm confused about my spring plate setup on my new IRS rear end. The bolt holes don't seem to match up to the holes in the torsion arms. I can get three in the passenger side but only two in the driver side. I've switched these from side to side several times and wasn't happy with either. I also couldn't finger out which side of the springplate the arm goes but looking at the rust on the spring plate I'd guess the outside.
This is some basic stuff I know but I need some explanations as to why bolt hole locations aren't matching up. For the life of me I can't remember how it came apart.
