I just love the salvage yard engineering? It may not be sexy but it really works.

Too bad those arms aren't 4x4! That is why I live s-10 chevys. They have lots of a arm travel.

watch these a arms in slo mo. They are taking a beating but the frame is floating. The giant ball joints , spindles, wheel bearings, and tie rods are from a 90's rear wheel drive isuzu truck front end(put the lt on the rt and rt on the left so the tie rod will be in back).Mitsubishi Eclipse rear coil springs.90's Cadillic rack and pinion(look for a Cad that has the motor removed and 1 bolt and it's off.Cad is 2" wider than a normal GM .Perfect for this frame's geometry. Tubing inside of larger tubing to make a arm hinges.A very tough and practical set up.Thanks for the good comments.

Reminds me of Junkyard Wars. I think its great and the price seems right too. If I had access to all this great info when I was younger along with the time no telling what I would have created.

I understand that A arms just go up and down and not back at all, but think about it . When you are climbing a rocky hill is your buggy slanted on an incline and so is the terrain? Those 16" 760 tires roll over things easy as well. If you have time, but no money, it's a great way to go. $500 from welding supplies to lug nuts would get you rolling.
