I am converting a mid engine swing axle frame to IRS with out torsions. Where I have rear beam "tacked in"(well I got carried away) right now I'm at 107" wheelbase. I think I would like around 100" but this would involve a lot of rethinking and work. My last buggy was only 94.
So what you guys think Is 107" to long?
Thanks for any help......

I'm pretty sure mine is 105". I guess it depends on where you ride. I don't think it's a huge deal myself.

With a cutting brake and a Water cooled engine you can turn one around almost anywhere. The best all round wheel base car I ever had was 108 and it rode like a Cadillac with 3x3 rear arms and some Fox emulsion shocks.

I love the sound a a VW AC motor but I can't stand the sound of the valve train.

No problem, thats what we are all here for. Besides my new car is a limo at 130 inch wheel base. I know thats really long, but man it rides like a dream with fox 2.5 coil overs in the rear and 10" fox 2.0 emulsions up front. With a mid engine you will have great weight distribution and it should climb well also. Good rear brakes are a must.

I will be at the hill climb event with the limo.
