So im concerned that my 28 super swampers will not fit due to the torsion stops sticking out. what is the process on cutting and adding straps, is it straight forward or more to it? |

The stub sticking out isn't a stop. It's holding the end of your torsion bars. In order to remove that you will need a torsion eliminator and shocks or airbags capable of holding the rear of your buggy up. This means, airbags, air shocks or coilovers. The straps are just to keep the spring plate up against the torsion housing so they don't bend out and pass the stops. It would probably be easier to add 2x3 trailing arms and longer axles if you want to run a tire that won't fit. If you look in the bottom left corner of this pic you can see the torsion cap. It has a chrome cover and then the stub sticking out. Is that what you are referring to? This can't be removed unless you eliminate the torsion. I believe they have long and short torsion bars and coordinating caps. A short bar will reduce the length of the cap by a couple inches.

you can replace them with a swing axil set up with very little mods and keep your arms, axils,cv and every thing and can run 33 if you want |
