im not sure what the name is but the buggy that rob herring has is a good wide and light frame. It climbs good to. Oh and the bitches like it to.

I'm in the market for a new frame... I mostly just hillclimb, and I want a two seater so I can haul the bitches around. Right now I have a warrior frame that is somewhat modified. It does pretty damn good to be honest, but I am looking into starting over instead of trying to fix all the things that I don't like on this one. I want to be able to fit my corebeau seats (theyre comfortable to sleep in in the woods), i want slick bottom, and I want it simple and light. I was going to get one custom made, but can't seem to have much luck there... Any suggestions are appreciated... |

I would either get a berrein stocker or a beeline cobra both have proven themselves to be good buggy |

Stalker but 3" taller. I'm not sure if mine is taller than stock but it would be nice if it was taller than it is. You've seen what it can handle in person. That last one into the forest was bad and it hardly did a thing. |

i like my stalker...im 6'4" and have plenty of room with kirky seats. i put a set of corbeaus in just to check the fit and it was no problem, even with a slick bottom. main reason i stayed with the kirkeys is because that what i used when i built it...to much to change to be comfy with the suspension seats |

when i was in the market for a new 2 seater frame i looked long and hard, and watched as many vids as i could find and to me, on average the beeline cobras were a more consistant hill climber at least on the "badder" type hills, not saying some of the others arent but thats the one i decided on and as far as the roof goes the only flat top ive seen hold up in a BAD flip without any damage was a chenowth 4lwd 2 seat chassis, at least it was the only one that didnt have a TON of braceing or need some straightening up afterwards, but take a look at this cobra flip with a "crowned" type roof http://www.woodsbuggy.com/index.php?opt ... =5&t=13689 the only damage was a broke spindle and bent tree bar, these were all things i looked for and considered before i made a decission on mine |

If you throw looks out the window, I agree with ridenrace6 (at least i think so), the "crowned" is a stronger roof design. As for frame, I like the look of the explorer... |

Jeff, Whatever you deside on make sure it has a roll cage designed similar to a Berrian stalker. That design keeps the frame in a compression state and will hold up way better that a hoop style cage that acts like a hinge and folds up . Remember Plumber bills! |

Jeffy, I just checked out the Berrien web page and found out that ACME in New Cumberland , Pa. has aquired all the rights from Berrien, for manufacture and production of all Berrien products. I can personally attest to the reputation of John Mickle and his crew at ACME. John has built sprint car chassis and raced them for years, so his operation is not some fly by night thing. They have been in operation for a long time, and their work is top notch. I worked in New Cumberland for years and have dealt with them before. I'm sure they will make these products that Berrien will be proud of. My inlaws live two miles from there ,so when I get back to Pa. , I usually go by there for my odds and ends. They are located next to the airport in New Cumberland, so you shouldn't have any problem landing your private jet there and walking across the street to check them out. I'm personally excited to get back there soon. They will be having a Grand Opening celebration on July 14, when they will also be hosting Buggies By The River, which they have been hosting for a few years now. It's a hell good time. If your ever intrested in going up there, I'd be glad to accompany you or meet you on the way. I'm in Hickory, N.C. now, but I get back there often, and I'm anxious to get there soon since I've received this great news. Acme is also a dealer of most top notch bug stuff too. The airport in Hickory can also handle a B-52, so I'm sure you jet would be OK, if you want to pick me up on your way ????? LOL. Just thought I'd share the news.

Well, I have a Warrior based frame now, and although it climbs extremely well, I am not overly keen on the looks. I'm planning on going with a Boone Buggies frame built by our good friend GasMan. No build process has started yet, but I will keep you guys up to date when it does!! And Neal, my private jet is currently out of commission, I sucked a goose into one of the turbines last weekend flying home from the Bermudas.... Oh, and I am wanting to do the roof front to back like a stalker, but I still kicked up in the middle some, not truely flat. I think that is the best of both worlds... |

just build one you will like to look at for the next few years and it will be good nothing worse than not liking the look of your frame and being stuck with it |
