3 x 3 arms + bus tranny = 19 1/4" axles

2 x 3 arms + bus tranny = 18 3/4" axles

big e you also have these on your rail. im just making sure before i put all this on, that im using exactly what i need. and the sloppy cv on the axle issue is the race! checked with other axles and races and im preety sure the race is the problem. im gonna call them on monday on all these issues , every thing else is ok with it , but im wondering about these axles being to long

mine came with 19 1/4 axles.....i bought a lobro cv and tried it on the junk empi axles and it seemed to fit tighter....wheb you send shit back if you do,make them send u a shipper tag to cover costs....and they took thier good sweet time sending my stuff back...like 3 weeks the first time and about a month the second go round.....had to call 3 times a day for 4 days straight to chad on the phone....never again appletree! my shit is still sloppy, still has cheap bearings and seals and all empi china stuff.....has been takin a beatin with no breakage, yet. i should have sent it all back, kept the arms and built from there.......lesson learned!

Hey Chevy can you describe in a little more detail what makes the empi axles junk. That's the only empi part I ordered, but I still have time to change.

the axles and cv joints fit together sloppy...it seems like the axle diameter is too small to fit correctly into the cv centers...when you go from first to reverse or opposite it jerks pretty good....wide open shift from first to second make them jerk....hit the gas, let off,hit it again, guess what...it jerks. best i can describe feeling is like a u joint that gets sloppy or worn out ring and pinion

im not gonna say empi stuff is good but u have alot of other things that can cause what ur saying about a jerk ring and pinion spider gears trans gears along with the cvs them selves all these parts have clearance for oil and heat expansion which will cause what u r discribing if there was too much slop in the axle to cv splines i think it would strip pretty fast so ur jerk could just be all of the combined causing a jerk ????????

his do it even when you hold the entire axle assembly in hand and twist the cv's. plus he's changed trans and had a superdiff install by creech. it's the joints you can see it.

and dave i got 2x3 and 18 3/4 inch stock bus axles. 1 in out can be NO longer than 19 3/4. probably more like 1/2 to 3/4 inch longer.

with the axle and cv off the buggy and in my hand i can feel the play and slop in the splines...that pretty much eliminates all other suspects....
