Drop spindles will give you more ground clearance as well as wheel travel, but I have seen buggies with stock kingpin frontend do well too, it all depends on the money you want to spend..... |

drop spindles have more leverage on everything greatly increasing wear and strength |

Drop only changes your pivot point it don't increase your wheel travel any .Me I would go with longer arms and the best after market combo type spindles you can find.But a dropped spindle will act like a long cheater pipe on the front beam |

Lower linkpins take a beating with drop spindles.I had a 3 in drop combo spindle broke linkpins alot woods ridin an racin.then i broke the spindle were the kingpin goes thru. Went back to normal combos alot better no more broken linkpins.also when the linkpin breaks it usually bends your shock an tierod.it also steers better with no drop spindels.go with longer arms or taller tires if your lookin for ground clearence. |
