 Post subject: Thru Rods

What are you all doing to hold your thru rods? I have the the clamp/nut, but they tend to come loose. Is there something better?

weld a nut on one side, and I either run 2 thin jam nuts or a lock nut on the other side

Just made ours left and right handed with thrust washers under the bolts, seem to be fine with a bit of locktite.

Use nylon washers between the arm aond the nuts,that will help also.

put the welded nut on the driver side an the wafer jam nuts on the passanger side.this way if the tire hits them it will not loosen them.

We drill threw the nut and threw rod and drive in a roll pin cut it to length :wink: Drive it out to change.
