setting my suspension up now and was wonder what u guys were having luck with on the cv angle ? i have it set at 14 degree now and just want to make sure there is nothing im missing before i do my suspension mods . specs 2x3 arms bus cvs clocked 18 3/4 axles thanks for any help jason |

14 degrees is a little low.. You can probably go a bit higher.. I run 18 degrees at ride hight and 20 degrees at full droop.. |

type 4 are 2mm thicker.... this info is from blinkchickens site i assume these degrees are with stock cages Type 1 is 12 degrees Type 2 is 17 degrees Type 4 is 22 degrees 930 is 25 degrees |

There is a bunch more to all this than just some number assigned to a particular CV. I would Maybe use this number as a starting point to get thing set up. Unless the chassis (rear torsion housing) is dead level and the trans drive flanges are exactly perpendicular to the housing those numbers mean nothing. |

exactly what mike said.i tweeked on my rear suspension for a long time before i got everything to work right but now i run my type 2s at 19 deg and never have any probs.what you really need to check is your rear alignment (camber)at ride height.you may have good angle on your inner cv but if your arms are bent or not built right youll be maxing out you outer cv but your axle angle could still be good.ive seen alot of aftermarket arms built wrong or with bent cups and the guys cant figure out why they blow outer cvs or they click even with limit straps.everones seen that orange suby buggy with 4" of rear ground clearance and clicking cvs . |

I heard that he tried to climb a hill over at Lookout, and that is why it looks the way it does now.... Can anyone confirm this? |

If you cant grab the axle and move it back and forth between the trans and stub axles with the rear tires jacked up off the ground the cv will not stay together no matter what kind it is . My axles angle back so i couldnt set them to the angle of a bus joint " max angle" so I jacked mine up and drew the swing arm up with the limit strap until I had about 1/2 inch movement in my axles . |
