I had a root run up in my wheel and bent a swing arm .It was a sudden stop but not a real hard hit .It looks like it bent between the bearing carrier and the spring plate mount . I have another set for my wifes buggy and decided to modify them some .

Is this sufficient or would you guys add some on the other side of the spring plate mount

Well it's better then stock. Been debating doing that to mine as well. Same 2x3's

i'd probly add it to both sides.if it bent between the housing and the spring plate, now that youve beefed that section of it the inside is now the weak part.jmo,it couldnt hurt it and besides it looks a whole lot better now that youve added your extra touches to it.chad

Keep in mind the more weight you put out there, the harder is on everything else. Unsprung weight is hard on torsion bars, shocks, inner and outer pivots, stub axle bearings too.

I agree with you Mike that was what worried me about adding any thing else . Would you cut a hole in the 2 pieces I added with a hole saw for looks and to lighten it back up a little ?

if u bent one bobby has a table up there at his shop that builds them kind of arms if u need one

Cool.... I think I can fix it with a little heat and a come-a-long. Its not bent bad but if I cant straighten it I will give him a yell
