I haven't been here much since I had to go back to work.
Got a call from an insurance company to remove some litter from Fireman's Hill.
It was about 2/3 of the way up the hill when we got there. You should be able to up and to the left able to see the spot where it landed. It appears to have tumbled down from the top. Foot prints on the top of the hill seem to indicate they wisely jumped ship before it went over. This is the hill my rail is on in my avatar. If you look up and to the left there is a rock about 20 feet from the top where I started my trip down Fireman's Hill. This is the same line they started down as I went up. It looks like the tried spinning the tires in reverse to dig and stop from going down, but this is a nasty unforgiving hill. Thankfully my ride was semi controlled. I got to try out the three new Super Winches, Super Winch was so kind to donate to us. They are very quick. This truck was heavy it moved well when we used two winches one to steer and one to pull. We ended up snatch blocking the 18,000 # winch on the yellow truck to get 36,000 # of pulling power. The truck just kept getting deeper into the decomposed granite to justify abusing the winch. It ran much quieter doubled. I have been down this hill all you can do is go faster and keep a tight grip on the wheel since hitting then brakes just makes for an uncontrollable situation. They didn't nickname it Fireman's Hill because it was slow.

On the way out we put out a rail road tie fire that had been going all night.

I think it is like lost hikers on Mt. Shasta. They expect warm people to come rescue them.
