Hey Guys! My name is Mario. Ive been a member for a little while, mostly looking around. I bought my first buggy back in the fall as a project. I knew pretty much nothing at that time but learned a lot through the process including how to weld. It took me a while but doing it all myself made it so worth it.

When I first got it the engine was seized from sitting outside, the crankcase had about a quart of water in it (was pretty bummed when I drained the oil). It broke free pretty easily but I didn't expect it to last long at all.

Next big problem is that this thing had absolutely no headroom at all. My head stuck out about an inch out the top. Only solution was to cut it in half and fabricate my own cage. With some help from a friend who had a home made bender we went to work. I couldn't have been more happy with the way it came out.

I scrambled for 2 weeks to finish it before memorial weekend. I did get it done but had no time to test it, I threw it on the trailer and hoped for the best. It ran great all day that Saturday until I went off this blind jump on a trail and blew out my front tire on a little stump of a tree. I had to limp back to camp but it started backfiring and running like crap all of a sudden. It eventually died and I couldn't get it going the rest of the weekend.

Got a new distributor and that seemed to do the trick. There are still a few things I want to do including a spare tire mount, and an airfilter that is a little more protected from mud and water.

Im from Southeast PA and hopefully look forward to riding with some of you PA guys.

Im from Huntingdon Valley. We usually ride in trevorton and Shamokin. However I believe that Outdoor Adventure park has now taken full effect and the Trevorton area is closed unfortunately. Its a shame i've been going there since I was kid. Heard a lot of people started to get tickets and stuff impounded after memorial weekend.

I just sent in my application to RAC for their permit. We always pass right through Pottsville and St. Clair. Ive never rode there but its about 45 minutes closer than trevorton was so Im happy about that.

How often do you guys go out? Once I get some of the bugs sorted out I want to come up and explore around.

I haven't. I honestly don't know what it is about. I believe its only open on the weekends and till 5pm? It seems to be more of a hiking, bicycling, hunting thing to me. We ran into a couple people on utility quads that were hiding on trails who told us that we weren't allowed in these areas. Everytime I go there they seem to be moving more East.

St. Clair seems like it might be just as good.
