may be "jumping the gun" as their would have to be a couple things happen, but if you had the money, would this buggy be worth the price? forgetting the street thing - for a minute!

I remember reading that thread, when it was first posted! I've looked at too many buggies, the past couple months. They're running together, but I've also learned a little bit! More I learn, the more I'm willing to spend! I need to stop reading.

A very wise man on this site has always said "It is better to spend the money for good parts and a well built buggy and cry once" Buy one to cheep and you will understand his logic.

Custom built dune buggy ( sand rail ) frame but it has extra webbing in the nose and back to make it stronger along with added weight to the front to make it balanced. Engine is fully built 2180 thick wall stroker motor with full port and polished deck heads. msd pro billet distributor and msd ignition box. Alternator, new sealed dog house with new fan. Smaller crank pulley, built and balanced internals. Remote mount bug pack breather box. Original Webber 44 dual carbs with k & n filters and foam socks. New neo valve cover gaskets. Solid rocker shafts with the larger ratio rockers, custom camshaft, hardened pushrods, remote oil filter mount. Aluminum fuel tank. Transmission is 6 rib 091 bus transmission works beautifully. Top of line Neil clutch and brake pedal assembly. Also Neil gas pedal with solid throttle cable. Suspension- front is a warrior beam with 10" shock towers and factory vw trailing arms with rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. The lower shock extensions are welded to the lower trailing arms for maximum travel. Derlin bushings and new link pins. New aluminum spindle mount wheels on front. Solid steering with an end load rack welding steering shaft mount and removable steering wheel. Back- huge kuster long travel shocks, rear trailing arms with poly torsion and trailing arm housing bushings. Rear disc brakes with cnc single handle turning brakes. Race prepped 930 CV axels with new redline grease. Wheels are wide 5 lug pattern. It was finished in 2011 and has the best of everything. Just used for trail riding and sand.
