I was looking at my buggy the other night and noticed I only had one mounting tab for my belts behind the seats right in the middle of them is there any belts that the shoulder straps make like a Y and only use one mounting location and if so are they pretty good or should i break out the welder and weld another tab |

I run the RJS harness. It is "Y" shaped for the upper belts. |

I think most just have one tab. They make belts for one mounting point so I think it's fine. Ex. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku But if I understand correctly the race car harness is suppose to be mounted on a bar above your shoulders and slightly back so in case of a rollover the lap belts hold you in and the shoulder belts hold you back instead of taking a chance and compressing your spine by holding you down in the seat. Not sure where I heard that but hopefully ncbuggy will jump in and confirm. |

Your shoulder harness should be mounted slightly below your shoulder. I think it is like 5 degrees down hill. There are belts that wrap around a bar (BE SURE TO LACE THE BELT CORRECTLY)I'll find pics if it helps. |

when you mount the shoulder harness below your shoulders, it will compress your spine as your weight shifts forward. i wouldn't mount it very low. ideally it should be flat. let your lap belts hold you down in the seat and the shoulder belt hold you back in it.... just my thoughts. |

Just noticed this. Your belts should be 0-20deg below your shoulders.I'll try to get a copy of a diagram posted. |

i was looking at belts and noticed you can get them where you adjust them by pulling up or down which way is better? |
