Some of us have been more concerned lately with saftey. And since we have a member amoung us who build seats for one of the best NASCAR teams, Roush Fenway Racing, it makes sence that we should take advantage of his knowledge. I had a chance to get to know Wade at the hillclimb a couple weeks ago. He is a great guy and will be a great asset to us.
Thanks,
Dean Marks

Excellant idea,,,safety,,,,We all mean too much to our family's,,both at home and in the woods to take it lightly. I started using a helmet more after a concussion. Now I feel more like hitting the hills harder when I have it on. Thanks to Dean and Admin. for coming up with such an important topic. If we want this sport to live,,then we need too as well,,,,

I am glad to see this new sections on Woodsbuggy. I had a bad roll and received a severe concussion and now I don't hit many hills at all any more. I like to ride and be here tomorrow to ride again. Helmets and belts should become the normal thing to wear in my opinion. Even though we have a cage around us in our buggies doesn't mean that that same cage cant inflict damage.

I will be the first to say this is a great subject. I flipped this weekend in Fultondale Al. and was knocked out just for a few seconds, if I had put on a helmet this would have never happened. So in my book lesson learned.

Very good idea of having this subject on here, safety is always first priority no matter at work or at home and anywhere else.

This is a subject that's often overlooked. Most of us don't think about it till it's too late. The real eye opener I had was seeing one of my good friends(Aric Cassidy) destroy his buggy at Wilborns. He was OK Thank God, but as that buggy was barrel rolling down the hill, all I could think about was his kids. Right then I knew that I needed to make some changes, so I came home and lowered my seat to get more head room. I also installed new seatbelts, driver and passenger. Seatbelts need to be changed from time to time because they don't last forever. This is especially important for those of you that leave your buggies outside in the weather. I know in my case, I would like to watch my 19 month old little boy grow up. So, let's be safe. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I will do my best to help anyone out.
