I just purchased a Stainless 12gal cylinder tank and I'm moving it to directly behind the seats under the back deck. I've heard some people bad mouthing the vented caps. Just wondering if there is some way I can make this safer somehow? Or is the vented cap all I need? |

I have an 11 gallon round aluminum tank with just a vented cap and I run fuel injection as well |

For myself I got an unvented cap then drilled and tapped it for a barb fitting that takes a piece of small fuel tubing to below the bottom of the fuel tank, like a dirt bike. Poo-Poo occurs and having gas run all over you while your upside down is one less thing to worry about this way. |

I was thinking of running a vent to the ground as well. Must be from riding bikes because it just makes more sense to me than a vented cap especially when the cap will be right behind my head if I roll over. |
