I don't have the facts together but you can put vice grips on all my toes and fingers and I'm goin in...30 mins b4,we had to go rescue another jeep and I had just left there. I wish to God I had the chance to do something. Let a girl sit under 5 ft water for an hour..We were out winching a jeep when a dude called on a cell phone and said, "yall need to come back, this girl is stuck under a jeep".

..yea, and when he got back couldnt get nobody to stretch the winch cable or get someone to hold the breaks in his truck so he could hook up the cable

terrible thing that happened to that girl but the worst part about it was the 30 or so "men" standing on the bank watching her drown.. bunch of pussies

Bunch of pu$$ies is right, If I was there I woulda dove right in from where I'm from I'm considered a "river rat" cause I'm always swimmin in the river. Sad sad thing what happened my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.. A young life lost for no reason..some ppl need to be more mindful of their surroundings :(

I was there last weekend riding my bike. Ive said it for a long time that it was a matter of time before someone got killed out there. Way to much drinking and and trash being left around. This weekend not only did that poor girl drown but everything that has been going on out there got exposed. I would have drowned with that girl before i just stood there and let that happen. This really sucks because it is a great place to ride. I went down in indian valley and there was enough trash and beer cans to fill my truck twice. I quit goinfg out there because of the drunks and fights breaking out all the time. Ive out grown all that crap and dont want to be around it any more. I just really hate it for the girl and her family having to deal with a loose of such a young person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.

x2 guys.. these are great woods to ride.. several river crossings, hills, trails, everything you could want in a riding place.. but NO RESPECT for a FREE place to ride.. the days for these woods has been numbered and after what happened this weekend, i think they are done :( very unfortunate what happened to that girl and my heart is heavy for her family.. wish i wouldnt have left the woods early.. feel like things could have turned out different

sad thing is, none of these fools will learn from this.. they will take there jeeps, beer and he-man attitudes somewhere else, trash the place, and probably cost someone else there life.. eventually there will be no more FREE land to ride, just pay to ride parks.. may as well buy a bass boat

It was a strange thing. All of us (rescue stuck truck) guys were summoned away to a stuck jeep a mile away. We left the river just as they were driving up.

Fro what i hear there was about 20 people there when it happened and thet just stood there and watched as she drowned. Thats not the crowd I want to be around at all. My thoughts are what if that had of been me, would anyone have tried to help me or just stand and watch as i died. Sorry ass people is what i think of them, they need the shit stomped out of em for that. I also heard that once again it was a bunch of beligerant drunks that could barely help them selves let alone someone else. Thats why my choice was to stay away from leeds or if I went it was only known by a few people. Last summer I was there and a nut from my carb went in on top a piston. I took the head off to get it out so i could atleast make it to the truck. While motor was apart in the woods on the side of a creek a drunk giy walks by and kicks every nut and bolt that holds the head and carb on in the damn water. after that inccident i didnt even want to go back. Im suprised it lasted this long without someone getting killed.

my buddy showed up 15 min after it happened he said the 2 guys with her said they tried but the watter was to cold and could not hold their breath long enough and they were so drunk they could hardly stand and the other 20 people was to conserned on tryig to flip it back over the jeep had no roof it had one roll bar so it would have been easy to get to her and the watter is no more than 10 ft it was just a sorry group of people i think things could have turned out better if some of us would have been their to help

ALL of my vehicles have a seat belt
cutting device of some kind. I may
not be able to reach it in all rollover
situations, but at least I can reach it
in most.
Also, if you carry a pocket knife, make
sure that it is kept sharp enough to
cut through a seat belt. Some seat belt
fibers are really, really tough.
Lastly, most localities will legally protect
a "good samaritan".

The seat belt isnt what held her under.. when the jeep rolled she grabbed the roll cage and it had her hand pinned to the creek bottom, thats why i stress to passengers to cross your arms across your shoulder belts and hold on tight

Agreed. I am installing an Oshiite bar in
my current build. It is the handlebars
from a razor scooter and looks great.
Unfortunately passenger hands can
"fall" off of these in a rollover. I also
had to deal with a passenger's leg flopping
out the side of my buggy in a tipover.
The cage pinched her ankle to the ground.
Kinda freaky?

There's two guys racing with us who only have one arm.

That's why the waistline of our car is high (above elbow level when sat in) the seats are low, to keep legs out in front, and it has doors...
