The stock FI is a simple system. The biggest problems are vaccum leaks and dirty electrical connections. First do the basics adjust the valves, compression test, check for vaccum leaks. If you don't have access to a smoke machine, use compressed air regulated down to 3 psi and soapy water in a spray bottle to check all connections. Check all the electrical connection and clean them with contact cleaner.The 1970 to 1979 Bentley manual has the test procedures for all the inputs, fuel pressure. A tach signal and a switch in the air flow meter are used to turn on the fuel pump.
