i have a 1641 i just got a new alternator stand and do not have the money to get another so i was wondering how to take it off and is there any tricks to getting it off any info would be gratley appreciated |

You will need to start by removing the shroud and alternator. Then you can undo the 4 13mm nuts and pull the stand off. |

ya i have gotten that far my problem is getting the nut out on the inside off where u add the oil to the spout im not sure how to get down inside of it to seprate the oil spout and over flow from the stand it self idk if there is a tool that might work to brake the nut loose or what please let me know of any tips or ideal they would be greatley appreciated thx |

Hmmm It has been a long time since I broke down my engine but I believe my filler is connected to the stand. Does your new stand not have the filler? The stand should only be the 4 nuts, I have never had to go inside the filler tube. |

thx bradley u know what im talking about i just need to find a tool like that now or somethong that will work because that tool cost almost as a new filler tube and all another 5 bucks any ideals on what else could be used ? |

Internal pipe wrench? Is there enough depth to a set of battery terminal spreaders. I made one from a piece of tube, welded a nut to the end and a couple of pieces of small key stock on the side. Or get a cheap socket and grind the sides out or weld key stock across it. Make sure welds are good you don't want to be fishing later in case it goes through the louvered gasket under the stand. |
