I've run full flow systems before, but now am adding an exernal cooler also. The oil stat has no instructions  go figger. Looking at this oil stat, which is a thermal bypass valve, it makes no sense. I can see through the ports and can't understand how the thermostat alters the flow. Can someone tell me how to plump it? Thanks' Dave W.

If it is the Empi T-stat
Oil should flow as follows.
A. From engine to port marked E-1 port.
B. From port marked C-1 to oil cooler.
C. From the cooler to port marked C-2.
D. From port marked E-2 to return in engine.

I have mine installed so the feed is from the outlet on the oil filter.
