someone said somethin about a exact kit that makes it a 1641 can anybody give me any info on this? |

if your running a 1600 now i think the piston and jugs are 85mm go for the 87mm i think you can squeeze a set of 88mm in that case also dont hold me to that though the 87 are supposed to put ya to a 1641 for around 200 bucks or so i think |

what size jugs would that be and if they fit in the stock cylinder holes in the case would the cylinder walls be sorta thin 1835 are 92mm jugs arent they or 90 |

88mm is as large a jug and piston set as you can "slip in" and if u buy some make sure to tell them that you want the "slip in" jugs because they also make a machine in set of 88mm jugs 87mm makes a 1641, 88mm makes a 1679, 90.5mm makes a 1776, and 92mm makes a 1835, and 94mm makes a 1915 90.5mm and up require the case and heads to be opened up |

Like ridenrace6 wrote, 88mm slipins is the largest you can go before machine work is needed. So the bigest you could get is a 1679 with no machine work on a type 1 case. |

ive got the as21 case is that the kind of case your talkin about? but anyway how can you tell if they really are just slip in ? cause i got up with a guy on thesamba but he dont know and i dont either |

Well to tell if they are the slip in 88's have him measure the top of the cylinder where it meets the head. If you measure the top of your 85.5 cylinder and his measurement is the same then they are slip in's. If you want to split the case but no machine work how about a 74mm crank? http://davisracing.com/engine%20calculator.htm a 74 X 88 = 1800cc not bad then when you can afford the machine work for bigger pistons you already have the crank. Installing 87 or 88 mm pistons and liners won't add as much power as changing the cam will. There is a guy selling 88s on Azbaja.com. If they are slip ins the base of the 88 liner will measure the same a a 1600 liner. A CB 2231 came will work great with a stock 1600 cc dual port and a 34 pict carb. If you have a single 40 mm carb the Engle VZ 14 or FK 65 cams are a great choice. |
