ive got a block that has the number 126-066245 on it at the alternator stand and on the bottom and back it says 043 AS21 and the part number on the bottom says 043 101.101.L does anybody know what year or what it came from,its a dual relief case also.thanks chad |

AS21 is the best casting that vw made in my opinion. It is the hardest alloy mix that vw used. AS21 is stronger at high temperatures than AS41, and it's a little harder to machine. I think it was only used on fi engines 76-79. |

If ti is an FI engine, there will be no opening for a block mounted fuel pump. |
