Gary I think what he means is the cost of the 044s going to gain him the horsepower to be worth the money over what he allready has. |

Engine cc's is where you start, then you bolt on a good set of heads.I like the Street Eliminater heads for a all around good performance.the CB 044,s should be as good as the Street Elim.I have never seen a VW engine that you couldn't feel the Horse Power gain by upgrading the heads.I think it's normally the most over looked part of the motor. Most guys think they can just keep building there motor bigger and bigger and not put any money in there heads. It's hard to justify spending $1000 or so on a new set of heads, when there is so much other goodies to buy for your rail. But i think it's the best $1000 you can spend on your rail. You should be able to use your stock rocker arms with that 120 cam.Ratio rockers let your valves open more on smaller cams like a 110 cam,to keep you peak torque at the lowest RPM range. What size carbs are you running?I remember you was having cab problems at D and K mem. day weekend.MIKE |

In my opinion, the 044's would be money well spent over the Mofoco heads you are currently using. Buy them, you will not regret it. Roy |
