| Post subject: | 1915 what is a safe rpm range. |
Ok i have a 1915, vz-15 cam, solex twin crabs, stock rockers not sure what heads, 009 distributor and i just put a msd 6AL box and a msd blaster 2 coil. my question is what is a safe max rpm to run this motor at i need to know so i can order the right rev limiter module for the 6Al. thanks |

If you have stock connecting rods, I would put in a 5500 chip. |

I think 2000 - 3000 would be a very safe RPM range. I actually have a rev limiter on my buggy set to 6000 |

run it till the valves flot then let off a little that should be just right |

i all ready broke a valve spring from over rev just trying not to break anything else i dont have the extra $$$$$ to fix it right now. Did the spring have any rust on it? Were you running single or dual valve springs? Cb's new CB 650 dual valve springs are one of the best ones out there. A VZ 15 cam was designed for 1.1 rockers. |
